Included:      Air ticket - Victoria Falls to Johannesburg (one-way), accommodation (3-5*), transport, guide, meals as indicated, porter-age where available, conservation fees and all entrance fees as per itinerary.

Excluded:    Passport / visa fees (Zimbabwe - pay in cash on arrival US$55.00 per person), travel insurance, phone calls, facsimiles, beverages, gratuities, items of a personal nature, excess baggage, entrance fees for optional excursions not included in the tour.

ITINERARY - An Unforgettable African Adventure”

Duration:    10 Nights / 11 Days

Recommended Add-on Tour: 4 Nights - Cape Town             

Included meals: (B - Breakfast, L - Lunch, D - Dinner)

 * Accommodation is subject to availability, if the under mentioned accommodation is not available we shall endeavour to supply comparable facilities.

Day 1:

Your guide will meet you upon your morning arrival in Johannesburg at O R Tambo International Airport. Depart for a township tour of Soweto, visit the very moving Hector Pieterson Museum and Nelson Mandela’s House - reflect on the “Apartheid” era of South Africa’s history. Lunch en route, before checking-in at our charming little lodge near the airport. Dinner will be served at the lodge.  

Accommodation: Journey’s Inn Africa *** (D) 

Day 2: 

Travel via Middelburg, Lydenburg and the breathtaking “Panorama Route” to admire the natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon - third deepest in the world, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Lunch en route and dinner can be enjoyed at the lodge’s restaurant. Overnight in Hazyview.

Accommodation: Hippo Hollow Country Estate *** (B) 

Day 3 & 4:

Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP). Spend the next two days in the central Kruger area, which is known for its large herds of zebra, wildebeest & giraffe and they are the main prey for lions!!!!. Dinner on the first night will be served at the camps restaurant and the next night as a traditional “potjie” - stew prepared by your guide - good luck. Overnight in the KNP.

Accommodation: Satara Camp *** (B & D)

Other included activity: Day 4 - Enjoy a sunset or evening game drive in an open vehicle with a park ranger.

Day 5:

Travel north through Kruger. The KNP is known to be the most diverse park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Dinner can be enjoyed at the camps restaurant. Overnight in the park.

Accommodation: Punda Maria Camp *** (B & D)

Day 6:

Depart after breakfast from the park via Punda Maria Gate. Travel through Venda, which is known as “the land of legends” to Leshiba nature reserve nestled in an extremely remote area of the scenic Soutpansberg Mountains. Arrive early enough to have a picnic lunch and to enjoy an afternoon hike on a guided archaeological (rock art) trail that offers an enlightening and mystical venture into the past.  Dinner will be served as a traditional “braai” - barbeque prepared by your guide. The unique luxury   Venda style Leshiba lodge was built on the foundation of an old Venda village.

Day 7:

A travelling day. Depart early morning for Botswana. Breakfast and lunch on route. Travel to Nata via the Zanzibar Border Post (SA / Botswana border post), Selebi-Phikwe and Francistown. Overnight near Nata - the gateway to Botswana’s rich natural beauty.

Accommodation:  Nata Lodge - Safari Tents *** (B & D)  

Day 8:

This morning we take an open vehicle safari to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, which is known for its prolific birdlife. Then we travel to Kasane, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. This area is well known for its large herds of elephant and Cape buffalo. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Kasane - Botswana.

Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge **** (B & D)

Optional activities: Tiger fishing on the Chobe River 

Day 9: 

Explore the Chobe National Park - “Big 4” country, on an early morning included open vehicle safari. You then have the rest of the day to relax at the lodge with its beautiful setting along the Chobe River, before an included sunset river safari into Chobe National Park. Overnight in Kasane - Botswana.

Day 10:

Cross the border at Kazungula to Zimbabwe for a visit to one of the “natural wonders of the world”. Although, Dr David Livingstone first viewed the Victoria Falls on the 16 November 1855 from Livingstone Island in Zambia, the best view of the Victoria Falls is without a doubt from the Zimbabwe side. Enjoy lunch, the afternoon and evening at leisure at the “grand old lady” - colonial style Victoria Falls Hotel. Overnight in Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe.

Day 11:

The morning at leisure, before we transfer you to the Victoria Falls Airport, in order to catch your flight to Johannesburg and then home.
