The 2nd Lynching of Clarence Thomas
After Roe v. Wade Upset, the Left Wants Him Out
Prior to June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court was seen as a vaunted American institution largely revered and respected by all Americans. The high court was enshrined forever to ensure their constitutional rights were protected against government overreach. But that Friday, everything changed. That was the day Roe v. Wade was overturned — and hysteria reigned for enraged Democrats and the far left. The backstory: Republicans have long held that protecting abortion was never imprinted in the Constitution, there is NO mention of a right to privacy in the Constitution — and that the Constitution does allow states to regulate social matters. By overturning Roe the court was saying we should follow the Constitution — and let states decide the abortion issue — just as they did BEFORE Roe. Enter Friday, June 24, 2022. Soon Democrats were looking for a target — to put a face on their outrage. And they desperately wanted to remove at least one conservative from the court. Who was that face fingered for removal? Justice Clarence Thomas. Since then, Clarence Thomas has been the target of a growing woke mob out to destroy him. Recently, desperate leftist groups have attacked Thomas on trumped-up and phony ethics issues. And then they have launched racist, personal attacks against the esteemed Thomas: - House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries went so far as to call out Black conservatives — and specifically Thomas — as "house negroes."
- Democrat Bennie Thompson called Thomas an "Uncle Tom" because of Thomas' views on affirmative action and voter ID laws.
- Political cartoons have shamefully painted Thomas as a shoeshine boy, lawn jockey, or even a member of the Ku Klux Klan, replete with robes.
Conservatives everywhere have called out the attacks and are squarely in Thomas' corner. And in epic fashion, Thomas has fired back, calling the attacks a "high-tech lynching for uppity Blacks . . . who have different ideas." When these attacks didn't work, Democrats tried to malign Thomas for taking vacations with business magnate Harlan Crow, and for spending time at Crow's summer home in the Adirondacks. Yet they failed to mention Thomas' family reciprocated in kind at their own home — and that Crow never derived any public benefit from his friendship. Hypocritical Democrats were mum when it was then pointed out that liberal Justice Stephen Breyer took a shocking 233 trips — some overseas — paid for by billionaires and third parties. But the media and Senate Democrats won't hear about liberal justices and the benefits they received while on the court.
