When preparing for your doctor visit, it's important to consider all of the factors in your life that could be contributing to your sleep problem: work, family, social life, your mental outlook, etc. That information, plus your sleep diary and questions for your doctor will help you get the proper treatment. Print your sleep diary and questions for your doctor here.

To make the most of your visit, be prepared to talk about all the medications you are currently taking, whether they are prescription, over-the-counter or something else. Also be prepared for some questions they may ask:

• How often do you wake up in the middle of the   night, or wake up earlier than you would like?
• When you wake up in the morning, how do
  you feel?
• Talk to your bed partner. Has he or she noticed   you snoring, breathing erratically, tossing and   turning, or waking often?
• Have you had any recent illnesses or changes
in your life that may be affecting your ability
  to sleep?
• Have you taken any medications in the past to
  help you sleep?

If you're wary about taking a prescription sleep aid because you've never taken one before, remember that sleep is a vital part of life and shouldn't be compromised. AMBIEN CR may be the solution for you. It is the only 2-layered prescription sleep aid that is proven to help you fall asleep and stay asleep, so you wake up less frequently and fall back to sleep faster.

If you've already been to the doctor and have further questions about your symptoms or how to take your prescription, call your doctor or pharmacist right away.
