[SPY OPEN HOUSE] Why SPY?

 ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hello. My name is Ahren Stephens.

I’m Hugh Grossman’s trading partner and will be your co-host during the LIVE “DayTradeSPY Open House,” beginning at 9:15 a.m. Eastern on Monday, September 16, and continuing every day that whole week.

Once again, here’s a link to the Trading Room Open House:

You can show up anytime after 9:00 a.m. Eastern time beginning on Monday, September 16. We start at 9:20 and the market opens at 9:30 Eastern.

Hugh asked me to explain why we trade exclusively the S&P 500 Index, or SPY.

SPY is an Exchange Traded Fund, or ETF, that tracks the S&P 500 Index, a basket of the 500 strongest stocks on US markets. More specifically, SPY is what is known as a Standard & Poor’s Depositary Receipt or SPDR for short. Each share of SPY trades at about one tenth of the value of the S&P Index (SPX).

Now, SPY is one of the most traded equities and one of the most liquid, trading many millions of shares per day. That’s one of the big reasons why we like it.  Here are four other reasons:

  1. To make money fast: Hugh and I trade quickly, so we need to know every trade will be executed at our target price. SPY’s trading volume ensures we can hit our target prices.

  2. To maximize gains: Trading stocks this quickly, gains would be miniscule, maybe a percent or two a day. But with options, we can super-size those gains and target 5-10% on each.

  3. To minimize risk: By using options, we’re paying a fraction of what you’d pay to buy SPY shares. At the time of this writing, shares were $399 each. That’s $39,900 to own 100 of them. Yet we can control the same 100 shares for just a couple hundred bucks, typically, using options.

  4. To win both ways: By using both call and put options, we’re able to profit with SPY whether the market’s going up or down.

There is another reason we like trading the SPY: it TRENDS very well throughout the day.

This strong tendency to trend also means we can track that movement on the day’s charts. Hugh and I can open our charts 30 minutes before the opening bell to assess market conditions. There is no need to do extensive studies of individual stocks or sector scans the night before.

Those are the main reasons we trade the SPY, and why we’ve been able to make money so consistently doing so.

I hope you take advantage of the unique opportunity that this LIVE Open House presents and trade alongside us.

Every day all week, we’re going to earmark at least one trade as part of our campaign to turn $2K into $5K before the presidential election on November 5.

If you want to trade an option with us, I recommend you use this trade which we will announce during the hour trading session.

To do that, however, you have to have option trading privileges with your brokerage.

Finally, I want you to know that I’m very excited personally about the “DayTradeSPY Open House.” I became Hugh’s trading partner because we share the same outlook on trading and because I love helping regular investors make money trading.

There are a lot of tricks and strategies involved, but once you learn the basics, it’s not nearly as difficult as you might think.

The problem is, most people can’t afford to take all of the losses in order to learn these tricks – which is why this LIVE Open House is such a fantastic opportunity.

Please invite your friends and family members.

Until next week,

Ahren Stephens
