| How do I get my contacts to appear in chat? June 1, 2009 at 5:08 pm |
| I just set up my address book to sync with my Entourage and Google Contacts. The syncing is working GREAT, but none of my contacts are appearing in my chat window, despite regular contact with many of them and forcing them to always appear.
What do I need to change?

| Contact List June 1, 2009 at 4:45 pm |
| I am having trouble accessing my contact list. I just opened a Gmail account and imported all of my contact from my other email addresses, but now every time I click on "Contacts" my page freezes up and I have to use Ctr+Alt+Delete to remove the page. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Also, is there an email address or place to send this issue to Gmail tech support? I would appreciate any feedback with this problem. Thanks

| Special Charactes in Google Contacts and Outlook June 1, 2009 at 3:59 pm |
| Hi, I've exported my Google Contacts to Outlook. There is special characters laike ö or ç in my contacts. There is no problem with these in CSV file, but when I import it to Outlook, these special characters seem corrupted.
Is there any solution for this?
Thanks from now.
Best wishes...

| remove contact from chat list June 1, 2009 at 2:47 pm |
| Hi,
I have a contact which I want to keep as a contact but not show up in my chat list. Usually I just hover over the contact, go to "Video & More" and then for "Show in chat list" select Never. For some reason this procedure does not work for this particular contact. It says at the top of the screen in a yellow box "x will no longer appear in your chat list." but the contact still shows. Have tried logging out and in again etc. to no avail. The only thing I am guessing could be different is that the contact never seems to go offline. Does the contact have to go offline for this to take effect?
thanks in advance...

| Adding Contacts right from Google Search for Businesses June 1, 2009 at 1:30 pm |
| Wouldnt it be nice to search for a company in Google, see the addresses and search finds come up and then highlight and be able to push as a contact right into Gmail Contacts???
Gmail - this would be great integration into gmail... I use it all the time.

| Creating a Group June 1, 2009 at 12:52 pm |
| Can I create a group without inputting the individual addresses into my contact list? For example, can I copy and paste a distribution list from an email I receive into the "Group". In my previous email system, I was able to simply enter a list of emails for the group as a whole in addition to pulling from those I had entered as individual contacts.

| New Email, Adding contacts June 1, 2009 at 11:53 am |
| It was over a year ago I first asked this, and was told it was being worked on, still no joy.
Making a new email, or forward/replying and you want to add multiple people in the To, CC or BCC we still have to type the names in. Why, meaning what is the reason we can not have a selection option for this? Currently we have to type each email address in to get them to show (auto pop up), if you can remember which crazy name goes to which person. This is much easier to do with a drop down to select recipients.
Is it so difficult to let us click on "TO:" and have a box pop up with all our address so we can check off the ones we want to send it to?
As far as I can see Gmail is the only major email that is missing this common feature. Will this ever be fixed or is gmail a dead project with no more improvements?
Thank you,

| contacts June 1, 2009 at 10:37 am |
| I have 108 contacts in my "ALL CONTACTS" category and I have around 60 contacts assigned either to any group or to "my contact" category. I want to find out those contacts which are present in "all contacts" list but still not part of any group so that either I can save that or delete that from the list

| My Quick Contacts List has Disappeared June 1, 2009 at 9:44 am |
| My Quick Contacts List Disappeared last week (on all 3 computers in our office). This is the Contact List which Appears to the left of the screen and when you hover the mouse over each contact, you are given the option to either compose an email or chat.
I would assume that a Mozilla automatic update occurred which caused this to happen. I believe a Mozilla update automatically took place last week from what I can remember.
We currently use the older version of Gmail.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

| My contacts is bugged, or so I think. June 1, 2009 at 5:53 am |
| Dear Gmail support. I have run as many searches as I can think of but can't find any corrosponding help threads with my issue.
I just spent the better part of the day merging my outlook contacts and gmail contacts into one entity. I sorted them out nicely and put them into categories. The reason I did this was so I could use microsoft exchange on my HTC touch pro to syncronise my callander and contacts with my gmail.
The syncronisation seems to be working flawlessly, however I was supprised to find I had only 17 contacts (I have many more). Uppon checking my contacts under the "My contacts" heading. It clearly states I only have 17. However if you add up all the contacts in other categories (friends, co-workers, close friends, family ) then I have well over 60. However my contacts won't register this.
It will only download the contacts to my phone that are in the "My contacts" category. How do I get the contacts to add up correctly. I have attached a screen shot of the problem. Here http://users.bigpond.net.au/TurpS-stuff/gmailcontactsbugged.JPG
please help!
Thank you for any help. Please help me!
