| Can we chat with people out of Gmail?

| I know that by using Google Chat on Gmail, we are able to talk to other users with Google accounts and also sign into our AIM accounts and chat with our AIM buddies. However, does Google Chat also allow users to chat with people on other Instant Messengers such as MSN Messenger or Yahoo? If so, how?

| I've tried everything. Https, html, older versions don't work. I try on 4 different browsers on 3 different computers. I called my local internet provider. Sometimes I can't log-in, if I login, I can't read the email, if I get to read the email, I can't reply. I can't save google docs. I've cleared cache/cookies and still have the problems. Google reader only works with one browser (safari) Can someone help?

| I went into my contacts to send an e-mail and noticed
that over 200 of my contacts are missing? Can anyone help me? PLEASE

Update:
I didn't have any labs enabled, however when I go into
settings it tells me that I do have labs on....Something is weird and
going on here....Please someone needs to help me. I have a business
and 1/2 of my contacts are GONE!!!! It doesn't seem like anyone wants
to help us???? How else can we get help with gmail/google?

| "You've been Tagged" is a virus. I received this message from many of my contacts requesting that I join and view their photos. This is a virus - it wiped out all my contacts and Im having trouble accessing and sensding emails. Please help what should I do. By the way the message was also sent out to all of my contacts but I'm not the one sending them.

| Some contacts can't talk to me, some contacts disappear

| Hi, I am having a problem where I can see some of my contacts and initiate chat with them, and they will receive my messages, but then they can't respond to me and/or they can't initiate chat with me, even though they can see me in their contact list. They get this error message when they try: "Emily may not have received your message." Sometimes if I re-add them to my chat contacts the problem goes away, but not always, and not permanently fixed.
I don't know if this is related, but some of my contacts have disappeared - they used to be on my list of chat contacts, but then it was like the chat connection had been deleted - they show up on my list of chat contacts but with no status icon and it says "invited" (or sometimes it says nothing at all) next to their names.
I'm using a Mac running the latest version of OSX. This happens seemingly regardless of the client I'm using - I've tried it with Gchat (inside Gmail) and with Adium and Meebo. (Note: I originally posted this in the Google Talk forum, not realizing that Google Talk and Gchat are not the same thing. Sorry!)

| Possibility to add new email to existing contact

| When I receive email from some new person, GMail automatically adds
this email to a new contact. Since I sync Google contacts with iPhone,
some people are already exist in my address book (for example, with
phone number but without e-mail). I see only one possibility to combine
this contacts: add email to the first contact and delete the second
contact manually. Would you hint me more easy and convenient way to add
a new email address to the existing contact, or merge two contacts?

| Chat won't load in Gmail (or Googletalk Labs) on my account. I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE. I also tried loading on a co-worker's computer and it would not load. However, his chat loads without a problem on both of our computers, on the same network. This leads me to beleive the problem is with my account (not hardware or software). However, I am having no problem logging on to my google account for gmail, docs, picassa, calendar, etc. Any ideas?

| On the left of my iGoogle home page is a section with News, Technology and Chat. The Chat is linked to the Contacts of an old Gmail account. How do I link the contacts from my Google Apps. to my iGoogle? I do not want to keep up with two sets of Contacts so i do not want to import/export from Googl Apps to iGoogle. Thanks!

| Google Contacts sync w/ iPhone AND Blackberry

| I've got an iPhone for personal use and a Blackberry for work. I'd like my Google Contacts to sync to both devices so I set-up MS Exchange sync on both. However, sync errors are rampant - missing contacts, incorrect email addresses, etc.
Is there an automated solution to have Google Contacts sync with both devices or will I need to Export from Google Contacts, Import to Outlook & sync with my Blackberry to get this to work.

| There are only four or five people out there that I google chat with, but for some reason the Chat tool in gmail always has them buried in the list, with a big group of people I barely email let alone chat with at the top, meaning I'm constantly searching the chat list for the 5 or so folks I actually want to IM.
Any idea why it thinks these people I never contact are so 'popular'?

| I've imported all my contacts from hotmail, but even though my gmail acc. says I have 82 contacts, and they'll come up when I send an e-mail, they aren't visible in my contact list. How can I get them to show?

| I have installed the Gmail Voice and video call setup and all other criteria are also satisfied. I am using the Google Chrome Browser. and my web-cam is,Microsoft LifeCam VX-1000. But I am not able to use the Video Chat facility. Basically the Video Sign that comes next to the names of my contact, is not coming beside my name. Can you help me ? Please help if you can.

| Checked my System Info ...I have Vista Premium Home edition and SP1 64- bit...Originally I used V&V Chat on 2 other computers ... one with XP & the other with XP Home Edition ...... purchased this computer with Vista Premium Home Edition with SP1 in March and Video Chat worked great for about 2 months and then just stopped .... I have reloaded numerous times to no avail..... In Vista after reloading when I go to Settings/chat and hit refresh I see in the Voice and Video section "Detectiing devises..." for about 2 - 3 seconds and then it goes back to "learn more" I have gone back to my original computer and it still allows me to use the V&V Chat as I did originally. Are there any other settings or upgrade changes that might be blocking my access

| Can I enter a name for an email address outside my domain in groups?

| When I am creating groups for my domain I often have a number of users at different domains some of these are identifiable but others are at eircom, hotmail, yahoo etc. When i add them to the group rather then having their name and then an email address I have their email address in twice, is there any way to change this as it would be very helpful. I have tried adding them as contacts in my account but this has not helped

| Can contacts be shared amongst Google Apps users in the same domain?

| My coworkers and I seldom email each others clients when we need to get information. I have my contact list in my Google Apps account and they have theirs. Is there any way to share all of our contacts in real-time through some Global Address Book in the Google Apps interface? We're all on the same domain but if my co-worker tells me to email "John Doe," I can't email John unless my co-worker gives me his full email address. If there is some way to have a Global Address Book, it can alleviate this issue and I can just type in "John" in the address bar to have it auto-complete to "John.Doe@example.com." Plus, I'd be able to go to the Contact Manager and see the entire list of recipients from the entire organization under one roof. Obviously the clients, employees, management, etc would have their own groups for organizational purposes but can this even be done? Can anyone please tell me if this is a feature in Google Apps, something that is in the works if it isn't currently a feature, and if it is, how to go about activating it? I'd really appreciate it because this would make things so much easier..

| I need a way to block incoming e-mails from people that I don't want to receive messages from, but I don't want to mark them as spam. Is there a way I can do this? In Hotmail, I can block e-mail addresses and even entire domains. I want to block some senders, but I don't want them to be reported as spam.

| How do i let my video chat allow anyone to view me without accepting a call? my girlfriend wants to be able to see me whenever she wants from home. I can leave my camera on, but if she logs off she has to call me for me to accept her to view my camera. How do i make this where she can just see me whenever she wants?
