| Error when trying to import photos from CD

| I am trying to import photos from a picture CD. When I select the CD drive as the device under the import tab, it automatically puts red circles with Xs inside red circles on every photo and won't let them import. I've searched help topics and forum posts and don't see this addressed. Can anyone help?

| I recently uploaded an album (2 days ago) and when i am trying to upload more albums, it doesn't show up on the screen...i go through the entire process of uploading the pictures and compressing and saving and everything and suddenly poof! they are gone. I also can't change the account on picasa web albums and am stuck using this one...help!!

| I have dual boot xp pro/Kubuntu both with picasa 3, and in Kubuntu when I create a new photo folder off my stick in my photo album folder, and then start picasa it then auto scans this new folder and creates it in picasa, , but I want it to the same in xp pro which it don't as I have to manually do it, can anyone help, how do I set up in xp pro to do this auto create with in picasa?????

Recently installed the newest Picasa version update with the new features but the Shapen toll is now rubbish in my opinion, how can i get back the previous versions sharpening option?

| Used earlier versions of Picasa without problems. Downloaded New Version . As soon as program loads, screen goes BLANK and message "Screen resolution must be at least 800 X 600 X 16" appears. I have checked and my screen resolution is set to 1024 X 768 X 32 . Downloaded twice, same problem. Any ideas ??

| Since I have gmail and a local business center listing center I assume I'm "in" with Google(?). However, from my "My Account" page when I click on the Picassa link all I get are 4 photos that I used for my LBC listing. I can't figure out how to upload video to Picassa. I do not want the download version. Just the vbersion you get when an account is created like with Flickr or Photobucket.

| my blog will not open the slidshow on my computer. i have used another computer and i see the blog. I am using IE8. It was wroking fine the other day and now it is just coming up empty with a small icon in the right corner that looks like a square with a circle, triangle and square in it. I cna't download the photos if I right click it.

Having a hard time bringing them up as a web album, Any suggestions? Is there a basic tutorial? Haven't been able to go throu the items and find too much information of use!! Keep reading things and it reminds me of IRS forms.

| Picture of son and granddaugther in sephia. They are centered in picture correctly but on paper they come out to the right lower side. Trying to enlarge photograph to 8x10. Then text ran off picture so that needs to be centered. When I try to d this text my granddaugther disappears from the picture. Father's Day gift

| I was importing 132 pictures from my camera, gave the file a name and selected the option to wipe card clean. I thought I was importing all 132 pictures, however, only the first picture was saved. I must have not noticed the option to import selected file or all files during this process and now 131 pictures are gone. I don't see anything in my recycle bin from picasa. Is there a way to restore the deleted pictures?

| Hi everybody,
I have uploded some photos to picasaweb. The album requires sign-in to be viewed. I have also shared my album with several people having e-mail accounts in gmail.com. The weird thing is that some of them can see the album and some cannot. I have no idea what may be the possible reason of scuha behaviour. In my picasaweb I can clearly see to whom I have given the access to my albums. It's not about the wrong e-mail addresses then. After all, everybody has received an invitation to watch the album. I suspect that the problem is about misconfiguration of the gmail accounts. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

| I used to live in Sweden and I had all of my photos on an a Picasa account that I had there. My computer at the time was old so I did not bring it to the States when I relocated. I just deleted the program from the computer and sent it to the recyclers.
Once I arrived in the States I could not access my photos online. I have used my same username and password, but still I cannot get access to my photo albums.
Can anyone help me find my cherished photos????

| I have taken a photo of my baby from the same point every week since he was born and want to create a flip book animating his growth from birth to one year. I'd like to align them so that they are in teh same scale and centered on the same part of his face. Is there a way to do this in Picasa? In Photoshop I would adjust the transparency of the images and overlay them to work with them. I don't know if there is any comparable option in Picasa or antoher way altogether.

| I started with one gmail account fro picasa. Then I had to share it for work so used a new one. I'm tired of going back and forth so I would like to have one account and get all my albums on one account. I have my albums by invitation only not public. Please any help. | it was working until yesterday (may 22nd i think) and now it will not import any photos. i've imported them into another software programme, but i really like using Picasa to crop and edit the photos. I've tried to get Picasa to capture the photos from the other programme, but it is not working.are others experiencing this sudden problem?

| I just became aware of an experimental feature in Gmail that's kind of neat. It's under Settings > Labs. In your Labs tab, it's this one:
Picasa previews in mail
by Dan, Stanley, Mark & Umesh
Shows photos previews whenever you receive a Picasa link in an email.
Enable that feature, click Save Changes.
Now test it out by sending yourself a link or invitation to one of your Picasa Web Albums. When you get the email you should see " Photos linked in this email" at the bottom, with clickable thumbnails of the pictures from that album.
