| Gmail video issue with skype

| My webcam worked fine in Skype and then I installed Gmail video chat and it worked fine there. Then I went back to Skype and it no longer can find my webcam. I assume I need to just uninstall the Gmail video as I tend to have more contacts that use Skype. Is there a work around?

| I received a message today advising that my order has shipped. I called the vendor to see what is going on and apparently someone else has the same e-mail address I do. I have had this same address for almost 10 years and this is the first time this has happened. I would like Google to contact this other person and have him change his address. How can this be?

| I have set up my vacation responder, but it doesn't work all the time...when I check it to make sure that it is working and actually sending the vacation email, it has to some, but not to the others...I know it wont to spam, but to my inbox it still hasn't. Some of the posts are somewhat new...is there like a time limit on when it sends the vacation email? Did I reset it when I logged in?

| I get phishing emails every so often, usually claiming to be communication from banks where I'm not even an account holder. I try to forward them to the security departments of the banks involved. But I never know if they do anything about it. Google might be in a better position to do so than I am, though.
If Google collected suspected phishing emails, then any sender who seems to get a lot of reports might be worth further investigation of some sort.

| Is there a limit as to how many messages can be in a conversation? Or are they split by day? I ask this because I have many conversations that bounce back and forth for several days and the subject never changes. However, they split apart every day. This is a fairly new issue, going on for about a month or so. For an example today I might have 5 messages and yesterday there are 7 and the day before that are 4. Instead of all having one conversation with 16 messages, I have 3 separate ones.
Gmail's conversations are one of its best features. I would like to see this fixed as soon as possible. It makes for a headache trying to go back through other threads, which should all be together in one. While I understand some folks' desire to split them apart, that's fine too; just let us have the choice to do so.

| When trying to send email to multiple BCC email addresses Google tells me some of the addresses are not in the proper form, but it does not tell me which ones. I have checked every address, and they are all formed exactly the same way XXX@SSS.XXX. Why would such a technologically advanced company not include such a minor bit of information as which address is incorrect? Even Excel can tell you where the formula is wrong.

| I tried setting it up with these details; Incoming Mail Server(POP3): pop.gmail.com Port number: 995 Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP): smtp.gmail.com Port number: 465 Everytime I want to test the account settings, it tells me that the servers were found, but that there were no response from the servers...PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I sign in to google account as usual, I apply for a gmail account, system offers the address name.surname@gmail.com I want, I choose it from the drop down menu, I select security question and type answer, When I submit the request I receive the following error message: I tried several times within months, but always same behavior. | I accidentally included a link to my Gmail account in a reply I sent to someone I don't really trust. I have no idea how this could happen, how that link was put in the middle of my text. Clicking on that link opens my account. This link doesn't work if I am not logged in but it works if I am logged in.
This means that every time I will be logged in, that person will be able to log as well and to read all my emails, eventually answering to some of them and managing my account.
I need to make that link unusable.
I think I really need help from Gmail but I can't find a way to contact them. It seems I can only contact them if I am unable to access my account. I am able to access it but someone else is able as well.
I already changed my password but I don't think this will solve my problem.
I am really very worried about the consequences. I really need some help!

| I kept thinking it was for some special occasion and would soon go away, but the classic Gmail white envelope with red edges favicon has been missing for a while now and I want it back. This "g" with the goofy looking primary colors around it has got to go. It now seems to be everywhere on Google, not just Gmail.

| I bought a cheapo webcam off of ebay, it doesn't have a brand name on it even. It is plug and play and works perfectly fine on Skype. When I try to use it on gmail (which I prefer b/c of the superior audio quality) my camera won't broadcast anything.
On the Gmail settings it says that it is a USB Video Device, which the Gmail help says means I am using the generic Windows drivers to support it. However, I have no way of figuring out what the drivers are for this webcam since it is from China and has no brand name on it, nor did it come with a CD of any kind.
Am I just screwed with Gmail? If so, why does it work on Skype so well but not display an image here?

| I have another Gmail account that I've used for years, registered in the format user.name@gmail.com. I have no problems with it, except that if someone sends mail to username@gmail.com, without the period, the mail will not arrive. I have attempted to send mail to username@gmail.com without success. The only time it actually arrives is when it is sent from that same account to itself.
Anyone else have anything resembling this problem?

| I am trying to send emails to a folder that has over 100 addresses, and it is sending them all back, saying that the email failed permanently. I am sending them out with no to address, but all of them in the bcc section. Could that be the problem? Am I sending too many at a time? If so, what can be done to up the limit? Wouldn't some of them send then and not others? All of them are failing...

| The email is addressed to three other people and the message body speaks to only those people.
The message is a reply from a mdcarroll77@msn.com to an original email sent by awallace@njcu.edu.
The recipients listed in the original email are:
mdcarroll77@msn.com
dgokcora@yahoo.com
professormillard@yahoo.com
The email is a mundane legitimate email and not spam. I do not know and have never heard of the people referred to in the email. Why did I get it?

| My first question is how can I shorten the length of time between mail fetches? Currently it seems to only feth every 30 minutes. I would like to shorten that interval to 10-15 minutes. Also, when it fetches mail, it does not add it to the Inbox, I have to go to All Mail for my new mail. How do I fix that? Thanks!!

| Emails from someone listed in my contacts, and someone I write frequently to, are not showing up in my inbox. Instead, they go directly to the trash. I *DO NOT* (I've triple checked) have a filter of any kind associated with this email address. I would think there would be an option to "always allow" or something like that, but I can't find it. | I have signed up for a g-mail account (6) times & each time it will give me my g-mail address & password, but when I try to use it on sign in it tells me that I do not have an account. | So I've read tons of articles on googles sending limitations, but still feel that the write up needs to be much more detailed. I'm wondering about POP and IMAP business premiere user specific accounts. From my understanding, I can send 100 emails per 24 hours. However, here are some follow up questions that need clarification:
1) What is the per minute, per second, per hour sending limitation for both web and IMAP/POP?
2) Is that 100 email limitation for the same content only?
3) Are the 100 emails really meaning 100 unique users, but you can email them multiple times in one 24 hour period? If yes, how many times can you email them?
4) Will whitelisting change any of this?
