| Hi..
I want to get saved All my Chat.....So what Should I do?
what is the default sattings to save chat.......
I have different experiences , Ones I started chat from replying mail,then I get only replied Text from my friend in my saved chat,I want both whatever I chat & he replied....
then once, My friend had ping me & chat with me ,but I found only last reply in my saved chat rather than Whole chat Why whole chat was not saved?
Also once, I chat with my friend started from my Gmail Account but then I use orkut for chat ,So only half chat was saved rather then All.why?
In short, If I want to save my whole chat in my gmail Account whenever I do chat, What care should i take,Please Suggest me.........

| Gmail on iPhone - WILL NOT WORK!

| I am so frustrated, I've been trying to get this to work for a few months now and I can not. I've followed the directions to the T that I've found on the web. I've reset CAPTCHA(SP?). Enabled IMAP, reentered everything 100's of times.
I am not sure what else to do.
The first error I get is when I set up an account is an SSL error, "Cannot connect using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?
" I've tried ignoring it and working with it both on and off no luck.
Then, once I get past that I get "The connection to the server "imap.gmail.com" failed."
I've checked spelling of everything and have no clue what else to do.

| I created my first Gmail account in middle school and I am still currently using it after all of these years. However, now that I am in college and am working for a major corporation, this account isn't exactly professional enough to use. Over the years, I have accumulated mass amounts of emails that I would like to save with all of the same date, time, and sender information. I have created a new, more professional, Gmail account and would like to move all of these emails to my new account. I have tried Mail Fetcher, but this has failed on me for reasons I am unaware of. I have tried to troubleshoot it using methods and tactics from Gmail Help, but none of these attempts have been successful. I would really like to get rid of this Gmail account and start using my new account as my primary account. If anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

| Hi Gmail Help Team,
I'm trying to download the folders of my gmail account (actually my address is @mymdc.net) but it uses the gmail.
Windows live mail asks me for my user name and password, but don't allow me to enter. The W.L.M (windows live mail) error says: "The server has rejected your login. Please verify that your user name and password are correct"
I'm sure my pass is correct but my user name ends @mymdc.net and not @gmail.com, so I'm not sure what my user name is (if that is the actual problem)

| I want to use MailStore to retrieve and archive my email from my IMAP gmail account. It keeps asking for the "host". I cannot get any combination of google.com; gmail.com or whatever to finish the input required. All I need is the "host" for my gmail account. I don't know whether this is the numerical URL or some combination of gmail.com or google.com or whatever. MailStore works great with my Comcast IMAP account and retrieves and archives my email from there flawlessly.

| I have filled out the "I can't access my account" form [https://www.google.com/ support/accounts/bin/request.py?ara=1&hl=en] 4 TIMES now. I have gotten the same email sent to my secondary email address telling me to follow this link [https://www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd], then click on "Change your password by sending an email to your secondary address." But everytime I did that, I get a page saying this:
"Reset PasswordTo initiate the password reset process, please follow the instructions sent to your ******@s******.*****************.org email address. If you don't have an alternate email address, or if you no
longer have access to that account, please try to reset your password
again after 24 hours. At that point, you'll be able to reset your
password by answering the security question you provided when you

| I am running Vista Home Premium. I have had a GMail account for about 10 months, which I access using IE7. Ever since early May (about May 6th as best I can tell) messages that have been in my trash folder for more than 30 days are no longer being automatically deleted. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can restore the automatic emptying of older messages from my trash folder?

| When I go to my spam folder, there are 800 emails, however, it says at the top, "(messages that have been in Spam more than 30 days will be automatically deleted)" However, I see spam messages dating back to February. Why isn't it deleteing my spam automatically have 30 days?

| I have 2 igoogle accounts geat.leadership@gmail.com as you can see I spelled it wrong as I am a id. Then I have franchiseleadershipcenter@gmail.com. I have hooked up all my cool stuff with geat,leadership@gmail.com like my news, rrs reader, docs and much more. All I want to do is transfer all that stuff to my new account franchiseleadershipcenter@gmail.com.
Is there a way to do this that is not overly complicated. I am not the sharpest knife in the draw as you can tell by my spelling mistake.

i sent up a new gmail account yesterday using the option to have all emails from my previous server (aol) sent automatically fro 30 days. i read it can take 24-48 hours for that to happen, i am assuming that means each day's email. today i had 4 emails in my box - i went to my old server and i had 68 emails. over half were from yesterday. what is making me wonder if this is working is that the emails in my gmail today were from this morning - they were the newest. none of the older unread emails from yesterday or this morning have been transferred. still not transferred. can someone tell me if this is normal and can i expect them to show up in my gmail box or dod i need to keep checking the aol. account every day?

i've been a pop3 user with thunderbird for quite a long time, and I have 3 accounts configured on it, but suddently only ONE of these three accounts stopped working on it. it says the password is incorrect, but i'm sure it isn't as I can login to every other service (gmail, orkut, ig...).
and the config is correctly set-up too, just like the other accounts (that are working). also, it was working till yesterday and I didn't made any changes.
I've already tried to exclude and recreate the account in thunderbird, just to setup everythin again and be sure it wasn't any config, but still says the pass is incorrect.
does anyone have any idea?

| I am miffed off with SPAM-most recently i get an average of 10 emails from this idiot of a person called me If i set up a filter with me@ or me etc what happens is everytime I send an email the error box comes up with "you are trying to send a message from your trash box-in trash box move to inbox" frustrated as i am and very dissapointed with the whole affair- gmail. Having said this i had to then remove me@ from the filter scenoria which is supposed to have done the job Is there something we can do to resolve this because this me is impossible to even put your cursor on to brings up the users email account to add-create a filter. I was one of many ex hotmail account users in London UK and pushed my entire business -collegues to use gmail in the earlier days but right now I feel gmail has let me down! All your help and explanations are fruitless! Am i to return to hotmail because they are sorted with spam? This a test for such a huge organisation and interested to see what your SLA will be for such an inquiry? Regards Ian Boyns

| From reading through the various threads here I see that some discussion of the subject of hard-coded pre-defined groups has come up, of the "how to" variety. I didn't notice anyone taking issue with this.
So then, with apologies and from the heart of a devoted fan of gmail:
Arrgh!
I hope this will be changed in a future release. Is anybody with me? Am I the only user who feels that barring me from changing a group has a whiff of
Microsoft-think to it? It's a bit like the way in Windows you can't delete the "My this" and "My that" folders because it just keeps re-creating them. Please don't take offense. Nothing personal! Just trying to emphasize that reducing/removing options tends to induce strong feelings. Keep up the good work!
By the way, the only way I found out for sure I was barred from deleting pre-defined groups was to go to the old version of g-mail. In the new version if you go to a pre-defined group that's empty (as mine are) all the editing buttons are greyed out so there's no way to get to the warning message that tells you you're barred from making changes.

| Problems with sending php email

| Hi, I'm setting up a website in flash which will contain a php form which when submitted will send an email to me.
I've followed a tutorial to test it (http://www.layoutgalaxy.com/html/htmnewletter55-page1.htm) and when I have used my personal email it has worked perfectly.
However, when I have set the email address in the php file to the email address I use via Google Apps I am not receiving the notification email from the php form.
I can't work out why this might be not working on this address only. I've checked if the email address being used is working or not, and it is, so it must be something to do with the use of google as the server and the php form.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

| Last week i downloaded a driver updat peice of software. This seems to have opened the door to a great deal of spam.
I have never had this problem before, but worryingly there seems to be Google Brnading on most of these e-mails!! Is google endorsing spam that is advertising porn?? I think someone at Google needs to:
1. Remove Register Driver Detective - SafeCart- This site looks to be selling e-mail addresses to spam kings - These types of sites ruin the web and destroy normal use of your e-mail accounts.
2. Look at why Google Checkout branding is at the bottom of the spam meesages?? Again does google really want their branding over pornagraphic spam??
Hopefully someone at Google actually sees this, or someone can help in pointing me in the right direction to direct it to google to address!!

| Hi, I had gmail account with username 'aniruddha.gogate' but I had deleted that account long back. (almost three years back). But orkut still shows my old account, which is misleading and my friends send requests to that deleted account. Google should provide option for me to either recover my deleted account or close that account permanantly. Please let me know what should I do.

| I used the themes to try and select a theme I liked. It turned out that I liked none of them, perfectly. No problem, I thought, I'll set my own colors.
But setting my own colors didn't work - as soon as I opened a mesaage the old colors were there. I verified that this still happened when I was looking at a message that was text/plain so it could not have been that the colors were set by the sender.
Many themes are able to set the colors of the message body - at least one sets them to the same color as the text. I believe that "set your own colors" claims to allow you to set message colors (It is hard to tell EXACTLY what I'm setting colors for).
But I can't set my own colors and set message colors - the messages themselves come up in the original blue/white while the message listings (inbox) use my new set colors..
